Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers opted to remain with the Longhorns for another season and not declare for the 2024 NFL draft, but he still worked out at the program's pro day on Wednesday.
Ewers, one of the top 2025 draft prospects, spent his afternoon throwing to the likes of wide receivers Adonai Mitchell and Xavier Worthy in front of numerous NFL scouts and three head coaches, including Miami Dolphins boss Mike McDaniel.
Mitchell and Worthy both declared for the 2024 draft and could be selected in the first round.
While both receivers impressed, Ewers' performance on Wednesday could do himself some favors in terms of getting on the radar of NFL scouts next year as he drew great reviews for his performance:

Ewers initially committed to Ohio State before transferring to Texas ahead of the 2022 season.
The 21-year-old had a solid 2023 season with the Longhorns, leading the program to the College Football Playoff, where it suffered a 37-31 loss to the Washington Huskies in the Sugar Bowl.
Ewers completed 69 percent of his passes for 3,479 yards and 22 touchdowns against six interceptions in 12 games last season, in addition to rushing for 75 yards and five scores.
Ewers' return to Texas will have Steve Sarkisian's program among the top in the nation once again, and the expanded 12-team playoff means there's a good chance the Longhorns will be competing for a title in 2024.
A strong 2024 season will only improve Ewers' draft stock in a class that is also expected to include Colorado's Shedeur Sanders, Penn State's Drew Allar and Georgia's Carson Beck.
That said, one NFL scout also told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler and Pete Thamel last month that he believes there's a big drop-off in quarterback talent between the 2024 and 2025 draft classes.
"It won't be anything close to this year," the scout said.
The 2024 quarterback class includes the likes of Caleb Williams, Drake Maye, Jayden Daniels, Bo Nix, J.J. McCarthy and Michael Penix Jr.
